These beautiful necklaces are handcrafted in Southwestern Uganda by women widowed by HIV/AIDS. The multicolored beads are uniquely created using recycled magazine pages.95% of the proceeds go directly to the widows and to the start up of a Kid’s Club and orphanage to serve as a safe haven for the vulnerable children of Nyamitanga Village. Thanks to the generosity of Dana Walters and Red’s Coffee Shop in allowing us to display and sell the necklaces at no charge; the extra funds will go a long way in sustaining the widows’ small business venture.
